Why community & movement is the key to our future

I think we're all currently asking ourselves, "How did we get here?". And that's a pretty valid question that we don't time time to fully unpack the answer today, at least not on this platform. But the better question is, "How can we move forward and create a better future?".


While the world is crashing out, we have to remember what power we DO have. That power includes the ability to:

  • Gather and support each other

  • Create peace within our homes and relationships

  • Move our bodies, heal and connect with our emotions

  • Seek out joy, laughter and fun experiences

  • Speak up for women's rights and protect our communities


These are just a few things that we can still show up and participate in every single day, regardless of how insane the news and social media is. Choosing to be in a community that promotes body positivity, personal development, health & wellness, confidence & authenticity, and self-love is exactly what will help you to stay in the right state of mind. This is what helps us to realize that life doesn't need to feel chaotic every single day. It can actually be fun, transformative & freeing, while actually feeling supported by people around you.


You can choose to make better lifestyle choices. You can choose to dance in your living room instead of sit on a couch and allow anger and resentment to build up in your body. You can choose to hydrate with water, electrolytes or coconut water instead of drinking your fears and anxiety away with alcohol. These are all choices that will ultimately change how our future will be set up.


So this is your sign to sign up for that dance class, go to that sound bath meditation, take the hike with the people you just met, or choose to log off social media for a few hours a day. Your state of joy & peace is fully dependent on your surroundings and the people you're communicating with. So ask yourself today, "How is my environment adding to my life or draining me?".
