4 Journal Prompts For November

With the new year approaching, we may feel more inclined to start reflecting on the past year and getting ready for what's to come in the next.

Journaling is a great way to go inward, reflect on the year, and get clear on what you want to change in your life. Keeping a journal is a great way to release your thoughts, feelings and ideas in a safe space that only you have access to. When we don't feel like we have a healthy outlet or people who we can go deep with, a journal is always there.

Here's 4 journal prompts that you can use this month to get yourself ready for the new year.

1. "What Were My Biggest Accomplishments This Year?"

Allowing yourself to acknowledge your accomplishments and give yourself flowers is necessary for growth. Sometimes are so focused on what we want to do next or setting the next goal, that we forget to take time to reflect on the amazing things that we've done thus far.

Take a minute to write down all of the things that really made you proud of yourself this year. You can choose just a few, or you can reflect on one really big thing that makes you happy when you think about it. Acknowledging your wins is a great way to build confidence and reassurance that you are capable of so much more!

2. "What Was My Biggest Lesson This Year?"

Life is full of never-ending lessons. And if you haven't already gotten that memo by now, you will realize that soon enough. While we may feel like some lessons are harder than others, they're all for our benefit. Some lessons come in the form of heartbreak, disappointment, or trying something completely different from your norm. Either way, they teach us how to navigate through life a little better (hopefully).

Maybe your biggest lesson this year was learning that you should speak up for yourself more. Maybe your lesson was learning not to sleep on your gifts. Maybe your lesson was learning that you need to take more solo time for yourself. Reflect on what has really changed your perspective and write it down.

3. "What Do I Want To Do More Of Going Forward?"

Getting clear about what makes you happy, what brings you peace, and what feels right within your soul is important. Getting to know and love yourself involves giving yourself what you need and desire.

What lights you up and motivates you to keep going? This can be anything including hobbies, spending time with loved ones, traveling, or praying.

Remember that you are the creator of your life and you deserve to do more of what makes you happy to live a fulfilled life.

4. "What Does The Best Version Of Me Look Like?"

Before you step into the next version of yourself you first have to decide who that person is. What do they talk about? How do they show up for themselves? What are their habits? What type of relationships do they have?

We all want to improve our lives in some way. We're never not changing and growing. As humans, it's in our nature to want to seek out more and want to do more fulfilling things. If you have no idea who you want to become, then you will remain in the same place you are now. And maybe that's okay for you, but it doesn't hurt to consider wanting and being more.

I recently released my self-published Self-Care Journal & Wellness Guide, and I've been using myself daily to remember to prioritize my self-care. The journal has over 100 prompts to help you increase your self-esteem, your mood, your quality of sleep, and find peace within yourself.

There is a digital version also available for the girlies who prefer an ipad or tablet.
